Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities are server support, including technical and non-technical (scheduling, communication, etc.) activities.
  • This role will include daily break/fix activity as well as project work.

Qualifications

Knowledge and experience (3+ years) required with:

  • RHEL Linux administration
  • Red Hat Satellite
  • Docker

Knowledge and experience preferred with:

  • VMware administration
  • Kubernetes
  • Ansible

Familiarity with the following would be beneficial:

  • Providing technical leadership for mid-size projects
  • SAN storage administration – HPE 3PAR and NetApp
  • HPE hardware support including ProLiant DL and SimpliVity HCI servers
  • Cloud services, particularly AWS
  • Python and Bash scripting
  • Microsoft Windows Server & Active Directory administration and support
  • ITIL processes

Skills

  • Professionalism: an individual who is serious about what they do and willing to take the time to achieve a deep understanding of their craft.
  • Always professional in talk and manner.
  • Customer First Attitude: understanding whether o customer is and how to best serve them
  • Work well with the existing support group and contribute to the team’s shared documentation library.
  • Some experience managing projects (individual our financial client or tea) and a familiarity with PMO process would be an asset
  • Good listening and verbal communication
  • Effectiveness and enthusiasm: wanting to make a contribution (“can do” attitude)
