Position Description:
Under general supervision, the Support Analyst is required to support Portfolio Operations in a variety of processes. This individual will develop a level of knowledge within the team enabling them to form partnerships with all key business areas and functions. The incumbent will be responsible for transition-related tasks, and custodian performance monitoring and review, liaising with Compliance, Legal, Investment Centers, third parties, and regulators. Build an awareness of the surrounding industry infrastructure, technologies, and regulatory environment. Develop an understanding of downstream process flows and impacts. The incumbent will also represent the department in a professional manner internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Support transition activities including account onboarding/closing, new broker requests and approvals, and in-specie transitions.
• Provide MIS metrics and custodian performance analysis for distribution to key internal and external
• Participate in projects and initiatives impacting Global Portfolio Services.
• Business support oversight, monitoring, and review of delegated reporting activities provided by external
• Build and maintain a general knowledge and understanding of other Portfolio Services activities.
• Participate in the Continuous Improvement (CI) culture within a company
• Have or acquire sufficient knowledge of international AML/KYC/CDD requirements to successfully establish and maintain bank accounts in various regions. This would include providing requested documents such as formation documents for the entity opening the account.
• Research, and analyze SEC Edgar to support market documentation for sub-custodian support.
• Prepare supporting documentation for market openings such as Power of Attorney, Authorized Signers Lists
• Support Regulatory Reporting for compliance-related operational activities.
• Maintain the operational support for the Securities Lending Programs, including the reporting
  material and annual renewal process.
• Maintain the operational support for the Affiliated Broker Programs, including the reporting material.

Qualifications

• 3 – years of experience within the securities/investment industry or similar environment is desirable
• A general understanding of the financial markets.
• Ability To analysis data make sound judgments and proposed resolution steps in respect of any issues arising.
• Self-motivation to further enhance skills and financial and product knowledge.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
