Description
This position will be to manage the divestment of Logistics Army vehicles in the region of Petawawa. These vehicles are housed in two lots that are located in Garrison Petawawa. This position is for the coordination of resources and effect in order to accept vehicles in from agencies that currently hold them and the eventual movement to a crown-owned auction site for final sale and disposal.
Responsibilities
· Conduct short/medium term (days/weeks) planning for the arrival and divestment of vehicles.
· Ensure sufficient space allocation for divestment vehicles.
· Coordinate with the following people/organizations to conduct an orderly and successive divestment of the B fleet for 4 Division through 4 CDSG Tech Services.
· Request Equipment Move Orders (EMOs) and Supply Allocation Code (SAC) changes from units to 4 CDSG holdings prior to divestment.
· Units within Ontario. The Project Manager will liaise with each individual unit as to the 5Ws in regards to divested vehicles. They will conduct an orderly movement from unit lines to the Divestment Team’s compounds using unit recovery resources or via National Recovery.
· The Project Manager will oversee the set times to send inspection teams to units to inspect vehicles prior to acceptance of divested vehicles.
· Liaise with GC Surplus by uploading pictures and relevant documentation based on each individual auction vehicle or grouped salvage vehicles.
· The Manager will require access to GC Surplus online to upload pictures and documentation.
· The Manager will require access to programs such as DRMIS and FMS to verify proper paperwork from units.
· Maintain electronic and hard copy documentation for each divested vehicle.
· After sale of each vehicle, provide GC Surplus documentation to Major Equipment to have the vehicles removed from holdings.
· Conduct visits with potential purchasers upon request and provide escort to various compounds to allow first-hand viewings of potential sales.
· Maintain electronic Excel spreadsheet in managing divested fleet to show status, sales, auction vehicles, salvage or museum.
· Be able to take clear and accurate photos of each vehicle for online viewing purposes through GC Surplus.
· Maintain accurate information to each compound involved with divestment.
Qualifications
· This position requires clerical skills, liaison with unit POCs and outside agencies in data collection, vehicle sales, and general inputs for management analysis.
· This position requires experience divesting vehicles or experience in similar activities.
· This position requires experience with DRMIS and FMS.
· The position requires valid Ontario or 404 Driving License.
· Able to conduct phone conversations with prospective buyers and provide accurate information requested on saleable vehicles.
· Ability to coordinate with various units and services within 4 Div.
· Experience with posting advertisements on GC Surplus.
