Description:

As the Director, Application Development (Mobile and Payments) you will be leading the technical design and architecture, development and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems related to retail banking, sales and marketing, financial transaction processing customer information and messaging, enterprise integrations and security services.

The Director, Application Development (Mobile and Payments) will be an integral part of various exciting projects within the technology departments you direct the delivery of architecture across multiple business solutions to ensure consistency and alignment with business strategies and enterprise-wide architecture.

The Opportunity:

• Developing the Architecture blueprints and roadmaps that integrate all solutions for Applications
• Supporting long term strategy development and planning providing guidance and support from a technology perspective
• Leading the identification and resolution of gaps and inconsistencies in application architectural design
• Initiating project activities to optimize or enhance enterprise services architecture offerings
• Supporting business by helping drive solutions that meet the business goals and strategies
• Continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
• Investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You’re confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of the IT environment and IT architecture (Blueprints and Roadmaps)
• Proven experience developing and implementing long term strategies
• Experience with technology governance policies, standards and best practices
• Ability to understand and appreciate the business and technical drivers/constraints within retail banking and provide solutions that will align to these drivers/constraints
• Proven decision-making skills and the ability to form and maintain business relationships
• Must be able to influence and negotiate with senior managers and executives
• You have strong knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: iOS/Android, XML, GIT, SWIFT, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• 7+ years of experience in Architect role supporting Mobile Banking applications
• Bachelors or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of the following considered an asset: J2EE, XML, AJAX, Restful, Data architecture; data warehousing; security architecture.
• Experience within a Financial Institution considered an asset
