Position Description:
A leading contracting/construction company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join its team. In this role, you will play an integral part in ensuring payables are posted in a timely manner while adhering to budgets and corporate procedures.
Responsibilities
Matching, processing and coding of Accounts Payable invoices
Ensuring accuracy of all purchase order coding
Reconciling subcontractor invoices
Monthly Vendor account reconciliations
Solving any issues, comments or concerns Vendors may initiate
Following up with employees and vendors with any variances while ensuring all proper credits were issued
Prepare weekly cheque runs and direct deposits
Aiding in the creation of purchase orders
Maintaining a filing system
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including experience using Excel at an intermediate level skill.
Strong problem-solving skills
Resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Minimum college diploma in accounting
