Responsibilities

• Assist in the compilation and validation of monthly internal financial reporting packages.
• Prepare the consolidated corporate statement of cash flows and related analysis package.
• Prepare stock-based compensation expense and liability entries, including preparation of hedging entries.
• Prepare variance analysis of stock-based compensation, validating expense for the period based on change in market price and expected vesting expense.
• Prepare consolidation summaries for various elimination companies.
• Prepare monthly SOX binder and checklists.
• Assist with the compilation, review, and overall maintenance of intercompany eliminations.

Quarterly and Annual Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare quarterly forecasts and the annual budget for stock-based compensation.
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual external financial statements including notes.
• Assist in the preparation and review of the financial statement digital support binder.
• Assist with the validation of stock-based compensation disclosures in the Annual Information Circular.
• Respond to any external auditor questions related to the above items prepared.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation for consolidation companies that are reviewed on a quarterly basis.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and review of various StatsCan surveys.
• Assist with processing standard chart of accounts and report related changes.
• Assist in review and update of consolidation SOX controls, as required.
• Assist in the preparation of CRTC and tax legal entity financial statements.
• Assist in special projects as required.

Qualifications

• CPA, CA (Chartered Accountant) with at least 3 years of experience in an accounting environment.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Ability to independently manage and organize multiple work activities and inputs in order to meet or exceed established deadlines and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong technical skills in IFRS.
• Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Office and ERP experience such as Oracle.
• Strong interpersonal skills needed to communicate with peers and directors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Driven, customer-focused and result-oriented individual.
• Ability to drive change to enhance processes and improve deliverable
