Position Description

The role demands a strong contribution to, and the associated education of, architecture artifacts and Patterns & Practices (PnP) repositories, including reference architectures, target architectures, solution architectures, a set of reference implementations and/or libraries, that demonstrate best practices for software development. As a Technical Evangelist of standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps the candidate will engage and communicate with a breadth of stakeholders (via seminars, workshops, code fests, hackathons, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions based on the latest technology trends, application capabilities, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain all relevant Architectural documentation. Be cost-conscious to arrive to the right solutions; drive opportunities to reuse, optimize and enhance company solutions and approaches to reduce the cost of ownership; suggest/design various acceleration tools and techniques to improve our overall software engineering process. • Drive the creation of reference architectures and R&D/PoC in conjunction with many stakeholders (e.g., governance, development teams, product management, etc.) to continuously improve the software development methodology and processes.  (continuous)
• Work with development teams to establish and influence best practices for software quality across the organization. (continuous)
• Act as a technical evangelist and a coach for adopters including approaches, technologies, and processes.
• Collaborate with other technologists to standardize patterns of implementation across domains; works cross-functionally consistently and effectively.
• Perform peer reviews of architecture/design artifacts; review and contribute to Enterprise Architecture standards and documentation; ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to company enterprise standards (continuous)
• Serve as a central point to support platform-related architecture and design activities and provide assistance/training to other technologists on both emerging technologies and PnP artifacts and their adoption.
• Analyze and address risk factors in all deliverables and communicate/propose risk prevention and reduction approaches for adoption while providing architecture, design and assessments. (continuous)

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in software or product development, and solution integration from a software perspective.
• 8+ years’ experience providing thought leadership and developing and driving technology roadmaps and solutions for complex integrated enterprise applications/services such as Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 / CRM, Microsoft 365, 3rd party vendor products, etc.
• 6+ years’ experience of .NET, Web API, C#, JavaScript frameworks (Angular is a must).
• Proficient in data architecture, engineering, advanced analytics, and reporting, such as data modeling, data security, ETL/ELT, BI, performance tuning and optimization, backup and recovery using different database and data warehousing systems (SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure DataBricks, Power BI, etc.).
• Extensive experience with Azure services such as Azure AD, Azure API Management, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob, AKS, Azure Function, Logic App, App Service, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Blueprints.
• Proficient in multiple development tools and environments, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, OpenShift, Docker, Visual Studio, Jira, etc.; proficient in scripting languages such as JSON, YAML, and Python.
• Strong Conceptual and Analytical skills. Consolidation of multiple disparate systems into a single scalable technology platform for large organizations.
• Ability to guide, lead and influence leadership team and key stakeholders. A stronger team player with experience in leading and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
• Solid understanding of SDLC. Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or similar programs is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Industry or cloud certifications such as TOGAF and Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Enterprise Architecture experience
• Financial industry experience.
• Experience with Open APIs, e.g., OAS OpenAPI.
• Experience with IBM Mainframe.
• AI and Machine Learning experience.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud deployment tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with platform technologies including Compute, Storage, Network, Workspace, Monitoring, SRE, etc.
