POSITION SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity and looking for a Technical Delivery Software Development Manager to work on multiple interesting modernization projects to  contribute to the successful of development and delivery of various applications and platforms such as Core Transaction Processing Platform, Billing System and Hybrid Cloud migration, overseeing multiple agile teams, utilizing an agile and DevOps methodology for delivery.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Be responsible for the people management of 8 (growing) direct reports, including performance management, training and development
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and enterprise architects in the initiation of new solutions and/or software programs
• Support developers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications based on approved architectural specifications
• Contact person for the applicable Product & Project Managers and other stakeholders as identified in the project charter
• Responsible for the third level support schedule and incident escalation
• Contribute to the project schedule, identification and resolution of technical risks, and participate in the testing strategy and defect resolution process
• Provide development estimates and forecasts using story points
• Plan phases/release of the software development life cycle (SDLC) utilizing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Assist in the preparation and documentation of software specifications
• Oversee the unit testing of new code and ensure sufficient test coverage
• Ensure that security and resilience is built into new code from inception
• Monitor software tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of gathering performance statistics, correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
• Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problems
• Assist in the development and maintenance of application specific documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions for smooth handover to operational teams
• Ensure compliance to SDLC methodology and audit controls
• Maintain KPI’s & metrics for project/product work streams with an objective to improve efficiency, throughput and quality
• Liaise with operational teams to assist in resolving problems with software products or business systems and identifying and fixing incident root cause
• Research emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• !0+ years progressive experience in software development
• 4+ years in a management role
• 3 years of Agile development
• Previous experience in J2EE fundamentals & high-performance application development
• Experience in in RESTful web services (JSON/XML), APIs & API Gateway/Management software
• Experience in financial transaction platform development
• Experience with cloud-enabling applications and cloud migrations preferably in the Azure Environment
• Experience in successfully delivering mission-critical and transformational software projects
• Extensive experience with agile scrum methodology, story point estimation, and sprint planning
• Experience in AngularJS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, DevOps and CI/CD (Jenkins), Oracle EXACC, configuration Management tools and processes (Git, Maven, Nexus), Messaging technologies (IBM MQ, Active MQ, Kafka) and micro-services, API architectures, Experience with Container Technologies (Docker, CRI-O, Kubernetes), experience with Linux Operating System (RHEL)
• Experience in Nutanix is a plus.
