Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned software development/implementation specialist to implement and configure the SAS Viya platform once it is architected and built using the next generation of cloud-native analytics services that power predictive modelling, machine learning, and regulatory solutions. You’ll own end-to-end delivery, from crafting API contracts and data models to containerizing services and automating deployment on the cloud environment. The selected professional has the opportunity to work with a technical and dynamic team, implement technology acumen, get a competitive pay rate, and experience room for growth in a hybrid/remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, implement, and configure SAS Viya solutions.
• Integrate versioned APIs with SAS Viya.
• Embed SAS Viya capabilities into end-to-end solutions for predictive analytics, Anti-Money Laundering, and data quality workflows.
• Build and operate cloud-native deployments on AWS (EC2, Lambda) using Docker tools.
• Produce architecture diagrams, Functional/Detail Design Documents, and Unit Test Plans.
• Implement API security, row-level data controls and authentication/authorisation to meet enterprise and regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior engineers, collaborate with product managers and compliance SMEs, and troubleshoot production incidents through to resolution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software and system implementation and configuration with a proven record of delivering scalable services.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and Model Manager with SAS Viya.
• Expert-level Java 11+ / Go development, including concurrency, Streams, and idiomatic patterns.
• Demonstrated mastery of API design, micro-service architecture, and event-driven patterns.
• Strong container & orchestration skills.
• Cloud proficiency with AWS and Azure; experience tuning Viya on cloud compute.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
