Description
As a Technical Software Development Manager, you will play a critical role in building, improving, and maintaining a world-class digital ecosystem for our organization. This is a hands-on management position where you will guide a team of engineers and software developers in designing, developing, integrating, and testing services and platforms.
You will be responsible for making key development decisions, driving best practice and continuous improvement, and ensuring high standards in operational excellence and production availability.
Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of software developers, ensuring high levels of motivation, performance, and productivity.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of our in-house ERP Business Solutions software.
• Drive the introduction and integration of new technologies such as Flutter, Angular, C#, and more into existing and new modules.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Solutions Director, Project Managers, Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and QC to align development activities with business goals.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration between the architecture team and the development team to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
• Ensure the platform scales to meet ambitious growth targets while addressing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Manage local and remote software team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of development experience
• Proven experience as a Software Development Manager or similar role, with a track record of successfully leading software development teams.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Smalltalk and GemStone; experience with modern languages such as Flutter, Angular, React, Python, and C#.
• Frameworks and Libraries: Experience with Flutter for mobile development and Angular for web development.
• Database Management: Expertise in object-oriented databases, particularly GemStone.
• Development Tools: Proficiency with version control systems, continuous integration tools, and development environments.
• Software Development Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Cloud Services: Experience designing and building microservices on the cloud.
• Systems Integration: Experience in integrating new technologies and tools into existing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
