Ever Slept In on a Saturday Morning?
Have you ever found yourself lying in bed on a Saturday morning, worried about the upcoming workweek? I have some good news for you: everything will be fine. No matter how big the task or project, it too shall pass. Within two to four weeks, you’ll look back and wonder, “What was I so worried about?”
Throughout my 25 years of counseling, working as a career advisor with thousands of professionals and corporations, and navigating personal experiences, I’ve learned a few life lessons I’d like to share with you:
1. Perspective Matters:
Your perspective on life and how you view challenges can make a significant difference. Do you see obstacles or opportunities for learning and growth? The larger the challenge, the greater the lesson, leading to a more fulfilling life journey.
2. You’ll Survive this one too:
Focus your energy on finding solutions. Remember, you’re not alone – you’re constantly supported by who loves you, and the universe.
3. Unleash Your Inner Lion:
Rediscover the strength and courage within you. Unleash your inner lion. Reflect on past victories and consider seeking guidance or a trusted partner to help you.
4. Work Towards Solutions:
Focus on Solutions VS Challenges. Recognize that there’s always a solution to every problem. Direct your energy towards positive thoughts and ideas.
5. Learn and Move On:
Even if you’ve faced setbacks, lost a freind, job, house or even filed for bankruptcy, you can rebuild. Learn from the experience, keep plugging, keep working, and stay focused on positive change.
6. Prioritize Your Health:
To tackle challenges effectively, maintain your health through exercise, healthy eating, and fostering positive relationships. If you’re surrounded by negativity, be the source of positivity.
7. Celebrate Small Victories:
Recognize and appreciate even the smallest achievements to fuel motivation and resilience, empowering you to face future challenges confidently.
Remember, as you lie in bed on a Saturday morning, choose to see opportunities for growth and embrace your inner strength. Keep moving forward, celebrate your victories, and prioritize your well-being. Embrace life’s challenges with confidence and positivity. All will come through.
