Type: 5 months contract

Location: New York
Role will be hybrid with onsite work on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Description:
We are looking for a talented Photo Editor to coordinate assignments by researching + editing photos for print and digital platforms. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with various stakeholders including creative, strategy; digital, social media, global + internal comms to decide on which photos will be published and ensure deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with the design team and team members to identify photography needs
• Review photos, edit, crop and make necessary changes
• Research stock videos for occasional video content
• Decide which images to publish for blog posts in a same-day manner
• Provide photo direction to 3rd party agencies
• Quickly understand our brand VI and procure images within our style
• Manipulate photos to achieve highest quality using the appropriate tools
• Liaise with editors and brand team and advise on future project requests
• Understand libraries, folders and servers for organizational and usage ability
• Migrate stock photography to a DAM
• Maintain budget

Requirements:
• Fast, resourceful and experienced image researcher
• Solid experience with digital technology and photo editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Bridge, Air table etc.)
• Highly organized, autonomous, easygoing + collaborative
• Creative mind with an eye for detail and storytelling skills
• Time-management, organizational and leadership skills
• Knowledge of copyright and rights issues as they pertain to commercial usage
• BA degree in photography, visual arts, digital media or related field
• 5-10 years of experience working as a photo editor in marketing/editorial.
