Description:

 

The primary role of the Principal Engineering is to work and join a team that maintains and enhances the planning/ consolidations applications within the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management system. This includes designing, developing, and implementing solutions by utilizing best practice standards. The person will be able to architect EPM solutions from Techno functional capacity and mentor junior team member. This is Hands-on as well as solutions-based role.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • EPM resource working in financial systems environment.
  • Work with EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) software EPBCS, PCMCS, DRM, HFM and/or Oracle financials as well as interact with FP&A.
  • Interpret business requirements and/or enhancements to existing Invesco financial systems and / or business processes.
  • Provide advisory to FP&A and finance teams on system solution designs, enhancements, and transformations.
  • A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing, and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
  • Perform unit, system and interface testing associated with the Oracle EPBCS product and corresponding system interface areas, as well as provide guidance and assistance to client staff to support these testing activities
  • Delivery of enhancements relating to all functionality within EPM including metadata, calculation scripts, business rules, web forms, SmartView, and security.
  • Collaborate with business users to define requirements and project scope.
  • Coordinate with internal and external support staff for issue resolution.
  • Effectively communicate all system modifications to business users and change control.
  • Stay abreast on Oracle EPM releases to determine implementation impact.
  • Coordinate and support EPM architecture and infrastructure issues and initiatives
  • Communicate effectively via phone, email or in person. Interface with clients at all levels.
  • Functional – Technical responsibilities within the Finance EPM team.
  • Create and Maintain EPM Automate scripts, batch scripts for integrations.
  • Knowledge of Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to mentor junior staff

 

 

Must Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as an application developer with strong skills and knowledge in Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS)(EPBCS)(Planning) and Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management
  • Knowledge of the financial systems and business processes preferably Oracle, EPBCS, DRM, FDMEE, HFM, and Budgeting and Forecasting Processes
  • Knowledge of EPM automate and Batch Scripting.
  • High level of Knowledge in writing Calculation scripts and maintaining business rules in Planning and or Essbase.
  • Broad knowledge of the systems and business processes in the use of financial growth engines e.g. Oracle Analytics Cloud, EPM Suites.
  • Experience with EPBCS Enterprise Planning Budget Cloud, HFM, DRM, FDMEE, Essbase and OAC/Alteryx is a plus.
  • Experience working in agile methodology.
  • Functional Finance knowledge in working with Business and within applications.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate internally and externally. Strong work ethic is required.
  • Broad knowledge of the investment systems and associated processes interfacing with financial systems is required.
  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Computer Science.
  • Formal Oracle EPM training and/or qualification preferred.
  • Oracle Certification a Plus
