VRC-2189 – Chief (Senior Principal) Enterprise Architect Full Time Permanent

THE POSITION

We are looking for a Chief (Senior Principal) Enterprise Architect who will act as a trusted advisor across business, product, and engineering teams to develop thoughtful, forward-thinking solutions for products and managed services. Further, this role will direct and oversee standards and compliance for products and managed services including Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, Product Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Security Architecture and Enterprise Application Technical Roadmaps in alignment with overall company Enterprise Architecture Standards and Direction. This Chief (Senior Principal) Enterprise Architect will understand the needs of the business and drive product and service improvements at pace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain technology strategy and road maps for products and managed services.
• Making high impact technical decisions and driving them to the completion of the implementation.
• Lead conceptual / planning level of the product and solution architecture in collaboration with product development, information security and IT teams.
• Analyze and architect software and infrastructure solutions with all necessary NFR and required compliances from financial industry and government in mind.
• Drive architecture and design technology solutions for solving business problems, while authoring technical specifications and detailed design documents.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Architect to align on data architect and modeling.
• Collaborate with the Security Architect to align on enterprise security standards.
• Collaborate on the technical aspects of product development and service management teams to deliver full life cycle implementations.
• Communicate with Enterprise Architecture experts of clients, partners, or third-party vendors as needed for new and existing initiatives pertaining to our approach to architecture of our solutions.
• Establish strong relationships with the functional, technical, and external partners that will drive value across the organization through efficient, innovative, and proactive project management.
• Implement functionality as a hands-on specialist, especially in technically challenging projects, providing solutions for performance optimization, security, and high availability of the applications.
• Mentor a team of software engineers, testers, administrators, architects, DevOps engineers, establish required processes, and implement procedures for development and testing to ensure high-quality technical solutions.

QUALIFICATION                  

• 15+ years’ experience providing thought leadership and developing and driving technology road maps and solutions for complex integrated enterprise applications such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS platform and services, MS Dynamics, Office 365, .NET/Java, IBM Mainframe, 3rd party vendor products, etc.
• Understanding of the trends and direction of platform industry in the financial market
• Consolidation of multiple disparate systems into a single scalable technology platform for large organizations.
• Ability to define achievable product and technology road maps to leverage new functionality.
• Writing and development of technical design specifications and solution documents.
• Business acumen to understand requirements across all functional areas of Finance, Sales, Product, Delivery, Support, Technology, and Reporting.
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment by making sound decisions.
• Ability to guide, lead and influence leadership team and key stakeholders.
• Strong Conceptual and Analytical skills.
• Strong Business Process documentation and consulting experience.
• Strong exposure to Process Led workshops aligned client outcomes to the underlying solution capability.
• Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions, works well with diverse team and own tasks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills with ability to explain functional and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Participate in PI planning, Project Management and Scrum team review.
• Proficient with Agile methodology.
• Design, implement and manage multi-cloud solutions using Azure and AWS, proficient with at least one cloud platform and familiar with others.
• Proficient in usage of multiple development tools and environments, such as GitHub, visual studio, eclipse, Azure DevOps, Jira, OpenShift, Kubernetes, docker, .NET/Java development IDE, etc.).
• Proficient in data architecture and engineering, such as data modeling, data security, ETL, BI, performance tuning and optimization, backup and recovery using difference database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Azure/AWS Data services, etc.).
• Understanding of security principles and common standards.
• Deep knowledge of Open APIs technology – skills required to build prototypes leveraging FusionFabric.cloud and partners Open APIs.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and CI/CD Pipelines.
• Experience in managing production systems (Windows, Linux, and middleware. IBM mainframe is a plus).
• Experience with platform technologies to include Compute, Storage, Network, Software, Monitoring, Data, etc.
• Understanding of front to back development.
• Understanding of accessibility and its common standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or similar programs is preferred.
