Position Description:
This Senior Financial Analyst position will support the Financial Reporting & Accounting Team within the Controller’s Group, focusing on the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) portfolio. The successful candidate will leverage strong technical accounting and communication skills to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of OPEX accounting, IFRS 16 accounting, and internal controls.
Responsibilities
Ensure complete, accurate and timely CRE OPEX accounting, reporting and analysis, including reporting under IFRS 16
Prepare monthly account reconciliations for Corporate, and IFRS 16 Balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner
Provide GL support to CRE Business Managers, assist with data analysis and investigation
Ensure all internal controls and SOX controls are effective and operational
Assist with all external and internal audit requests
Assist in operationalizing new initiatives and special projects, including systems and M&A integration
Act as a liaison with service providers to support business areas and oversee financial integration
Develop an environment of continuous process and control improvement
Qualifications
An accounting designation (CPA) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment in either public practice or industry.
Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Office, and ERP experience such as Oracle.
Strong interpersonal skills are needed to communicate with peers and directors
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior knowledge of IFRS, specifically IFRS 16
Well organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise written reports.
Driven, customer-focused, and result-oriented individual.
Ability to independently manage and organize multiple work activities in order to meet or exceed established deadlines and priorities
Ability to drive change to enhance processes and improve deliverables.
