Description

One of the largest multinational manufacturing companies over the world is looking for a self-driven senior .NET SQL Windows Developer to work on a variety of software systems supporting the production environment. This is a contract , renewable after one year.

As a senior .NET SQL Windows Developer consultant, you will be supporting, updating, and developing on a variety of applications to support the shop floor.

As successful applicant, you will be expected to visit the production floor as part of regular duties such as troubleshooting, deployments and training. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in system engineering support for the company´s production during the fixed support rotations including some Windows server administration and troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Application Programming
• Application troubleshooting and updating
• Systems analysis, design, and integration
• System support and maintenance
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
• Write technical documentation
• Help create and adhere to project timelines
• Participate in virtual meetings, on MS Teams, WebEx, phone calls, etc.
• Participate in site visits to either or both our Cambridge and Woodstock plants.
• Maintain positive vendor and client relationships
• Ensure project adheres to set schedule and is meeting goals of the client.

Qualifications

• Relational Database in Oracle, Postgres and/or SQL Server
• Kepware experience
• Factory Talk (Rockwell) experience
• .Net experience
• Git or other related distributed version control software
• Test Driven Development
• Software build, deployment, and maintenance using build tools, IIS, and Windows Servers
• General understanding and experience with networking and TCP/IP concepts
• Developer Tools – Visual Studio, SQL Developer
• Excellent organizational, communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Adaptable self-starter who works well independently and in a high-paced work environment
