Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert in interfaces among different customers, vendors, partners, and affiliates; for data transformation platforms resided on-premises and on the cloud with data interfaces to and from SAP S/4 environments.
• Work closely with SAP Solution Architect and other IS associates and business associates on establishing and collaborating different interfaces standard to secure data transfer.
• Review business processes and find opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity through interfaces to/from other systems.
• Adjust and improve deployment framework to better business users’ experience in the notification, correction procedure, and recovery of interface failure.
• Facilitate interfaces design by leveraging the best practices of different standards for example interface file standards, SAP IDOC standards, and industrial EDI standards.
• Partake in all phases of software development lifecycle including requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, configuration, development, testing, and support involve SAP interfaces.
• Involve in functional and technical requirements for enhancements, incident and problem resolution with other business associates, Information Services (I.S.) associates, and Application Management Services (AMS) members.
• Provide interface expertise to support business initiatives.
• Ensure solutions are developed, integrated, and properly maintained within company’s SAP landscape, and in accordance with company standards and established architecture guidelines.
• Interface with vendors to understand roadmap for specific products, support enhancements and new project, coordinate upgrades and maintenance releases.
• Coordinate acceptance tests with personnel and outside partners to ensure quality of deliverables, adherence to business expectation and timely delivery of business solutions.
• Review existing and emerging technologies, market trends and product capabilities to determine potential impact on the enterprise interfaces framework and alignment to business plans.
• Champion the proper use of interfaces services, related processes, and standards by conducting education, application review and design sessions with other IS associates and Application Management Services partners, to reinforce skills and knowledge baseline.
• Support training of key resources (business and I.S.) on interface landscape and technology

Stakeholder Engagement

• Assist in compilation of business needs, process information and technical requirements to produce an optimal analysis and conceptual design for interfaces and new solutions.
• Work with users to identify improvement opportunities; plan short, medium, and long-term enhancements and assist users in determining priorities.
• Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of the software design (application architecture) strategy and direction.
• Foster a positive, open learning environment where ideas and suggestions become a source of continuous process improvement.
• Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking.
• Interact with other member of Information Services to ensure that questions and discrepancies about specifications are resolved during the solution review process.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to improve collaboration and overall alignment.
• Collaborate with I.S. teams to deliver enterprise solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with evolving business needs.
• Work with customers and vendors to develop solutions and/or interface their data into company’s SAP application landscape.
• Influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• University Degree in computer science, business administration or related discipline
• 3+ years of work experience in SAP IDOC and ABAP
• 3+ years of experience in development role in an SAP environment
• 2+ years working knowledge with SAP PO (Process Orchestration)
• Practical hands-on experience with CI – DS (Cloud Integration for Data Services) will be an asset
• Understanding of transfer network protocols (FTP, FTPS, SFTP) will be an asset
• Working experience with EDI standard
• Working experience in coordinating with vendors and customers on interfaces activation
• Knowledgeable in building end to end interface solutions using middleware
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
• Results oriented mindset
• Experience partnering with outsourced vendors and customers
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, good judgment and effective decision-making
• Strong process improvement orientation, and experience in leading discussions to drive positive results amongst inter-disciplinary groups
• Hands-on experience in technical solution design, software specifications, conceptualization and development
• Hands-on experience in Agile projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• SAP certification preferred
