Description

We are looking for a hands-on technical Director / Sr. Manager, to join a dynamic team of senior data engineering engineers and analytics to work on diverse exciting development and support projects. Your knowledge and hands-on technical skills (architectural level) will be the driving force behind ensuring data security, for governing data quality in the Data Lake.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical teams of data and analytics engineers.
• Orchestrating collaborative team meetings to define scope, conduct risk and impact assessments, and oversee implementation for all data engineering requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners to drive successful completion of data engineering projects.
• Ensuring alignment with business objectives and company strategy, overseeing budgets.
• Guiding and mentoring a high-performing smart team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of information management project experience through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and going live; strong preference for candidates with extensive experience in both traditional and lean/agile project execution approaches.
• Minimum 5 years experience leading/managing 10-15 data team members.
• 10+ years of practical hands-on experience (e.g. engineering, coding, testing, etc.) in implementing data warehouses, data lakes, business intelligence systems, and extract-transform-load (ETL) routines.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud-based Azure, NoSQL multi-structured data engineering platforms like Databricks and Snowflake
• 4+ years of experience working with ETL packages such as Informatica and DataStage
• Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, math and/or statistics, or other related fields. (MBA) is nice to have.
