About the Position:
Our client a major Canadian company is seeking a Finance Manager will support the Financial Reporting & Accounting Team. This a fantastic opportunity to embed yourself in a high performing group that believes in balding their future leaders. The successful candidate will leverage strong technical accounting and communication skills to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the cost centre accounting as well as effective and efficient processes, internal controls around their preparation and approval. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the relationships with business finance teams and assist with various ad hoc special projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assess all entries and account reconciliations for correctness and totality
• Guarantee compliance with financial policies and an unspecified auditing framework
• Offer support to external auditors during indistinct quarterly reviews and year-end audits, as required
• Oversee and contribute to a team of two senior financial analysts
• Act as a point of contact for unmentioned financial groups within the organization to ensure compliance with undisclosed business requirements
• Foster and maintain relationships with undisclosed business/finance partners
• Demonstrate a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, involving the identification of undisclosed risks and opportunities related to unspecified instances, such as capital expenditure with an undisclosed Technology team. Exhibit unspecified technical knowledge in accounting, including an unattributed cloud-based computing application
• Scrutinize monthly results compared to undisclosed budgets and forecasts, and offer vague variance analyses
• Support an unspecified Senior Director with business scenarios, financial assessments, and unspecified ad hoc analyses, projects, and presentations as required
• Cultivate an environment of ongoing process and control enhancement
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Canadian Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA)
• Expert Excel skills
• Familiarity with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Oracle Finance ERP is an asset
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a financial role
