About the role:

We are looking for an intermediate+ or senior Solutions Architect focusing on application development and migration, which is related to 60-70% backend and 30-40% front-end development. We are looking for a solution architect who comes from a hands-on Java coding background and has conducted code reviews of developers’ work. The Solutions Architect is not required to do coding but will be partially leading multiple initiatives including migration to MuelSoft.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and feedback to staff and sub-trades.
• Lead the creation and evolution of the application architecture function, selection, and adoption of frameworks and methodologies, and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide solution design decisions
• Guide application design and provide technical leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives and application lifecycle
• Lead the design, implementation, and customization of our Connected Technology Solutions.
• Foster dissemination and maturity of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and DevOps best practices
• Analyze current business and I.S. solutions and environments to detect deficiencies, recommend improvements, and kaizen (continuous improvement) I.S. processes

Qualification

• 5+ years of I.S. experience in application design and architecture, including solid hands-on experience in conceptualization, modeling, and design.
• Experience with any of the following is considered a strong asset: Java, IBM Liberty (WAS), API Connect (APIC), IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Java Script, Azure DevOps, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT)
• 3+ years of technical expertise in system integration, middleware, API, ITIL, SaaS, COTS
• Broad understanding of I.S. practices and technologies, including PMLC, SDLC, infrastructure and application design, development tools, support, project and process management
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
