As a Manager, IT Application Support and Testing, you will guide a dynamic team (comprising Innovation Strategists, Project Leaders, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Pioneers, and Service Desk Visionaries) in ensuring the seamless integration of cutting-edge methodologies and guaranteeing the flawless implementation of revolutionary features and enhancements with a paramount focus on performance and quality, and handling incidents with an avant-garde approach.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team of Innovation Strategists, Project Leaders, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Pioneers, and Service Desk Visionaries
• Cultivate a well-rounded team through adept recruiting and development efforts, ensuring an adaptable mix of skills to handle an evolving range of activities
• Foster a high-performance culture through continuous feedback, performance management, and career development initiatives
• Instigate and oversee processes for capacity planning across all roles, spanning internal teams and third-party service providers
• Shape and administer processes for Portfolio Management, Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management, aligning governance with the organization’s size and pace
• Curate and manage relationships with third-party service providers, ensuring consistent alignment with scope, quality, performance, and cost expectations
• Pave the way for Quality Assurance excellence, incorporating test coverage analysis, test automation, traceability, and continuous improvement
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of Insurance Technology, leveraging practices, products, and opportunities to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and stimulate growth
• Craft and oversee a product roadmap harmonizing organizational strategies with groundbreaking features and enhancements
• Engineer a requirements management process that consistently translates intended outcomes into actionable tasks, meeting stakeholder expectations
• Establish, monitor, and report on service levels relating to quality, incidents & and problems, and performance
• Provide transparency into all processes and activities related to both solution delivery and support
• Oversee technical design, code quality, security, reusability, and the management of technical debt
• Contribute to the advancement of Enterprise Architecture
• Pioneering solutions
• Introduce cutting-edge technologies such as AI and RPA
• Develop compelling business cases
Requirements
• Over 10 years of experience in relevant Technology roles
• Over 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven experience in Portfolio Management, Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management
• Proficiency in Vendor Management
• Background in Business Analysis and/or Product Management
• Expertise in Quality Assurance
• Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Exposure to Insurance Technology is considered an asset
• University degree (Computer Science or a related discipline).
